Using HabitFlip

Last updated: 18 October 2026

HabitFlip is intended for personal, voluntary self-control. You choose which apps to pause and which activities to complete. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the licensed app unless a different agreement is presented on its App Store listing. This page describes the product’s use and limitations.

You remain in control

App pauses depend on Screen Time permission and iOS behavior. You can revoke access or uninstall the app. HabitFlip is not a tamper-proof restriction, parental monitoring service, or guarantee that an app will always be blocked.

Activities and schedules

Activities are timed or self-reported. HabitFlip cannot verify that you meditated, read, moved, drank water, or took medicine. Schedules depend on background callbacks delivered by iOS and may be affected by system conditions. A held routine is released after you complete its requirements and confirm the final step; a final timed habit has a separate Finish routine action. Other unfinished routines may keep shared apps paused. Guided periods can transition to independent practice, and app pauses can return after missed scheduled days.

Health and routines

HabitFlip is not a medical device or healthcare service. Choose activities suited to your circumstances. The medicine activity only lets you confirm a dose already due under your existing routine. It provides no diagnosis, treatment, dosage advice, medication schedule, or reminder guarantee.
